"If you ever saw the sunrise peeking from behind eastern hills
Watched squirrels gathering nuts, rabbits scampering through grass, a deer at dusk gracefully leaping across a field to the sounds of rushing water.
Seeing stars brighten up the night without the reflection of city lights
Listened to cicadas, the tree frogs croak after a soaking rain, rooster crowing in the early morn',
Cattle mooing in the pasture, sound of combines during wheat harvest
Coyote howling at the moon, songs of a mockingbird
Gone fishin' and swimmin' at the creek,
Skipped rocks across a pond
Laid on a cool patch of green grass to watch cotton candy clouds
Ever smelled fresh cut hay, or picked a tomato off the vine
Watched a new born calf or a colt begin to test out it's wobbly legs
Had dirt under your fingernails
Rode horseback across pastures and back country roads
Woke up each day to panoramic views of nature and landscapes in all their glory
You would then know why one finds rural life enchanting under these Kansas skies"

"It's not where you look, but what you see."
"A little bit of country is good for your soul
Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat"
