Just a small town gal and that is all I'll ever be,
where life is just another iced sweet tea away,
where you can see the twinkling stars at night,
the wonders of the moon,
and puffy white clouds floating across the blue sky.
Welcome to my blog from the heartland, full of random musings, observations, reflections, things I love, events in my life, humor..

We attended the Wreaths Across America Ceremony this morning, an annual event that is held at the Veterans Memorial Park and is hosted by our local4-H Cedar Vale Go-Getters. It is uplifting and inspiring to be able to attend such a meaningful event in our small town.
Wreaths Across America mission, Remember, Honor, Teach is carried out in part by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies on a specified Saturday in December at Arlington, as well as at veterans' cemeteries/memorials locations in all 50 states.
Wreaths Across America Ceremony is about spreading a message and teaching our children about the importance of remembering the fallen heroes. It honors those who gave up their tomorrows with family and loved ones,  honoring those who serve, and honoring the men and women of the armed forces who put themselves in harms way, and the veterans and their families who have made sacrifices in order to preserve our freedoms.
We thank and remember that our troops, veterans and those who have served who made the ultimate sacrifice are the only ones who have given up their lives or put them on hold to protect your freedoms.
A great big Thank You to the Cedar Vale Go-Getters and their leaders for hosting this annual ceremony.
(If you have not attended this annual ceremony, make plans to attend next year. You will be glad you did. It is Important not only to our veterans and their families, but also to the young members of our rural town, who every year decide this is important to them and their community.)
